Mobile Banking Enrollment Instructions

Mobile Banking is a free service* for our Online Banking customers.  To enroll, simply log on to Online Banking, choose User Options then select Mobile Banking Enrollment.

  1. Enter your cell phone number
  2. Select your provider from the list
  3. Choose a 4-digit Mobile PIN
  4. Submit
  5. In a few moments you will receive a text message with a One Time Password and a link
  6. Some models of cell phones allow you to select a link inside a text message and some models do not.
    1. Phone allows links:
      1. Select the link in the text message
      2. Enter your Access ID and your 4-digit Mobile Banking PIN.  (your OTP is embedded in the link)
      3. Submit
    2. Phone does not allow links:
      1. Write down your One Time Password (OTP)
      2. Access the web from your phone
      3. Go to www.theriverbank.com/mb.php (save this URL in your favorites or as a bookmark)
      4. Enter your Online Banking Access ID, your 6-digit One Time Password, and your 4-digit Mobile Banking PIN.
      5. Submit

Also, each time you log on, you will receive a new text message with a new One Time Password and link.  Use these next time you log on.

 

After the initial enrollment, how do I log on to Mobile Banking? 

(based on functionality of your cell phone)

Phone allows links

  1. Open the most recent text message containing your One Time Password (OTP)
  2. Select the link in the text message
  3. Enter your Access ID and your 4-digit Mobile Banking PIN.  (your OTP is embedded in the link)
  4. Submit

Phone does not allow links:

  1. Open the most recent text message containing your One Time Password (OTP) and write it down
  2. Access the web from your phone
  3. Go to www.theriverbank.com/mb.php (save this URL in your favorites or as a bookmark)
  4. Enter your Online Banking Access ID, your 6-digit One Time Password, and your 4-digit Mobile Banking PIN.
  5. Submit

 

What if I can’t locate my One time Password?

Go to www.theriverbank.com/mb.php (save this URL in your favorites or as a bookmark) and request a new One Time Password be sent to your cell phone.

*Your cell provider may charge additional fees for Internet access or text messages.  Most web-enabled phones can be used with our Mobile Banking service.
