Debit/ATM Conversion FAQs

When will I receive my NEW MasterCard Debit/ATM Card?

Your NEW Debit/ATM Card will be mailed to you on May 10th (for security reasons your PIN mailer will be sent 2 days later).

 

When will I receive my new PIN?

A new Personal Identification Number will be mailed to you on May 12th.  IMPORTANT:  Please keep your PIN Mailer (with instructions, phone number and reference code) for future PIN changes.  HSA and Business Cards will not receive a PIN Mailer.

 

How do I activate my new Debit/ATM Card?

As soon as you receive your new card you may activate it by phone or at an ATM (starting May 19th).  Please remember that you will not be able to use your new card until May 19th.  Follow the instructions on the card label to activate your new card:

     1.  Activate by Phone:

    1. Call 1-800-862-0760
    2. Enter your Card Account Number
    3. Provide the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number

(If you have any problems activating your card, you will be prompted to call Central Bank at 1-888-294-2183.  You will not need your PIN to activate your new card.)

     2.  Activate at any ATM (this option available after May 19th):

    1. Swipe your new card and enter your new PIN
    2. Make a withdrawal or transfer and your new card will be activated

When can I start using my new Debit/ATM Card?

Your new Debit/ATM Card will become effective on May 19th at 3:00 a.m.  Your Instant Cash and Check Card will be deactivated and closed on the same date and time.

 

The expiration of my current Instant Cash & Check Card is 05/10.   Will I have an active card to use from May 1st to May 19th (conversion day)?

Yes.  Your Instant Cash and Check Card will be available for use until conversion day, May 19th.  After May 19th, you may use your new Debit/ATM Card.

What should I do if I have auto payments scheduled to be paid with my Instant Cash & Check Card?

Update the payment information for each payee with your new Debit Card account number and expiration date.

Can I change my PIN?

Yes.  IMPORTANT:  You must have your PIN Mailer with instructions, phone number and reference code to change your PIN.  If you have lost or misplaced your PIN Mailer, please call Central Bank at 1-888-294-2183 to request a new PIN Mailer be sent to you.  Follow the instructions on the PIN mailer to change your Personal Identification Number:

  1. Change your PIN by Phone:
    1. Call the phone number on your PIN Mailer
    2. Enter the reference code from your PIN Mailer (it will take 24 hours for your new PIN to take effect)
  2. Change your PIN at an ATM owned by Central Bank (this option available after May 19th):
    1. Swipe your Card and enter your current PIN
    2. Choose “Change Personal Identification Number”
    3. Enter your new PIN and confirm  (your new PIN will be effective immediately)

After I change my PIN, how soon will it be effective?

If you change your PIN by phone it will take 24 hours to be effective.  If you change your PIN at an ATM (that is owned by Central Bank), your new PIN will be effective immediately.

What if I forget my Personal Identification Number (PIN)?

You are allowed 5 PIN attempts before your PIN is automatically locked.  The system will reset in 24 hours.  You may try entering your PIN again.  If you need a new PIN please call 1-888-294-2183 to request a new PIN Mailer be sent to you.

When can I access the funds in my account?

After our Card Conversion on May 19th, all ATM and Debit Card transactions will be “real-time”.  This means that when you make a withdrawal, transfer, or payment with your Debit/ATM Card, the funds post immediately to your account - just like all transactions currently done with Online Banking and at the Teller line.  (See “Other General Debit/ATM Card FAQs” on our website for more information regarding “real time” transactions.)

Can I make a deposit at an ATM?

Yes.  You can make a deposit at our RiverBank ATMs located at: 304 Cascade Street, Osceola, WI and 2191 U.S. Highway 8, St. Croix Falls, WI (MarketPlace).  The first $100 of your deposit made at one of these ATMs is available immediately.  The remaining funds will be available on the next business day.

What is the daily cutoff time for Debit/ATM Card transactions?                                                                   

The daily cutoff time for Debit/ATM Card and all Online Banking, Mobile Banking and Online Bill Payment transactions is 6:00 p.m.

My new Debit/ATM Card has a MasterCard logo on the front.  What does that mean?                                     

The logo on your card means that it is accepted at millions of locations around the world that accept MasterCard Debit Cards, in place of cash and checks.  No matter how you use your Debit/ATM Card, the money is always deducted directly from your checking account.

What is MasterCard SecureCode?

MasterCard SecureCode is a free service that allows you to protect your Debit MasterCard purchases over the Internet by using a personal SecureCode.  Once you've registered your Card for the service you will be asked for your MasterCard SecureCode at participating online retailers. This prevents unauthorized usage of your card at participating online retailers.

What is the UChoose Rewards Program?
